Fast-growing 3PLs are worth watching for the simple reason that they’re winning business fast enough to outpace their peers. That points to new capacity, new services, sharper execution, or a niche that suddenly caught fire.
What we mean by “fastest-growing” in this article?
We’re using two different scorecards, because there isn’t one universal, fully audited “fastest-growing 3PLs” database that covers the whole market.
- US list: Inc. 5000 (2025), ranked by 3-year growth % as reported in each company’s Inc. profile.
- Global list: 2024 vs 2023 revenue growth from company reporting, using either the logistics segment (when the company is a conglomerate) or the company total (when logistics is the core business).
An honest limitation
The biggest limitation is that a lot of 3PLs are private, don’t publish detailed revenue, or grow through acquisitions and this blurs what’s “organic.” So treat this as a well-sourced scoreboard for what’s visible, not a final word on who will be the best partner for your freight or fulfillment.

What jumps out from the US list?
Hypergrowth is showing up in e-commerce fulfillment and Amazon-adjacent operations (fulfillment, prep, omnichannel). Atomix Logistics, ShipDudes, Shipbots, and ZonPrep all sit in that orbit.
Another pattern: a few fast growers are closer to managed transportation and freight than warehouse fulfillment. That’s still 3PL in the real world, but it’s a different operating model and a different risk profile.

Why this global list looks different than the US list
The US list is packed with newer fulfillment players with smaller starting revenue bases, which can produce eye-popping growth rates.
The global list leans toward giants, where “fast growth” can come from:
- adding contract logistics capacity,
- expanding parcel and e-commerce networks,
- acquisitions and integration under a broader shipping group.
How should you use a “fastest-growing 3PL” list?
Use it as a shortlist generator, not a final ranking.
Growth can be a good sign. It can also mean a provider is stretching capacity, hiring fast, changing systems, and onboarding customers at a pace that tests service quality.
A vetting checklist before you sign with a fast-growing 3PL
- Ask for the last 90 days of on-time ship performance and order accuracy, not just a yearly summary.
- Get clarity on peak planning: labor plan, cutoffs, carrier allocation, and overflow strategy.
- Confirm how returns, exchanges, and exceptions are handled in the WMS, not in spreadsheets.
- Make sure you can speak to current customers in your order volume range.
- Watch the contract language on accessorials, minimums, and rate changes.
- Ask how quickly they can stand up a second node if your sales spike.
- If your model is Amazon-heavy, confirm what they do in-house versus what they hand off.
Fast growth is a signal but not a fit check
Fast-growing 3PLs can be a great match when you want a hungry provider with a tight service scope and quick onboarding. But if you’re shipping a few hundred to a few thousand orders a day, “best” often looks like repeatable execution, fast changes, and support you can actually reach.
A shortlist for eCommerce brands (mid-market friendly):
- Speed Commerce: multi-node fulfillment, strong integrations, hands-on support for growing brands
- ShipBob: tech-forward DTC fulfillment with lots of platform integrations
- ShipNetwork (Rakuten Super Logistics): smaller network, strong parcel coverage, solid integrations
- Red Stag Fulfillment: heavy, bulky, and high-value items that break generic 3PL workflows
- American Fulfillment Inc: program-style fulfillment, kitting, inserts, and “campaign” builds with direct communication
- FBA: best when Amazon is the center of your channel mix and Prime rules drive the playbook
Where Speed Commerce fits in the conversation
Fast growers can be a strong fit when you want a provider that’s hungry, nimble, and focused on a tight set of services.
An established partner is usually the safer move when you need multi-node coverage, predictable SLAs, and a team that’s already been through peak at high volume.
